My new addiction: GG!
Gossip Girl — Heard of it a long time ago but was never really interested in watching it. In my mind, it’s just another high school-ish series with troubled teenagers struggling with their lives.
So last week i was at this video shop looking around for something to watch to kill my after work hours and there i stumbled upon the first season of Gossip Girl. I stopped, picked up the box set but decided to put it down again and looked for some other series which are worth watching. I attempted at buying another one but something in me kept on returning to that aisle where the GG set was. Giving up, i grabbed the set and headed to the counter to oay for Gossip Girl’s first season.
When i got home and settled in my room, i popped in the first disc on my dvd player. I was right, it was about elite but troubled teenagers dealing with their glamorous but scandalous life on New York’s Upper East Side. But contrary to what i thought not liking it, i did! Honestly speaking, i loved it, super love it! On that first night, my eyes were glued on the TV that i wasn’t even aware of the time passing. I just noticed that it’s already in the wee hours of the morning when i can’t keep my eyes open anymore. :) So i decided to call it a night, or should i say day? I did the same thing the next night and i finished the whole season. I wasn’t surprised though i wasn’t expecting to be done in two nights.
The next day, i went back to the video store, walked straight to the counter and asked the guy if they have the second season of GG on sale. It was my lucky day coz they have one copy left. Without thinking twice i bought it and went home. Now, two more episodes and i’m finish with the second season too. Its third season isn’t due to come out until August and i can’t wait for it.
Personally, i liked the first season better than the second one coz Dan and S aren’t together anymore in the second season. I know it’s biased but i like the two of them sooo much. I hope they still end up together even of their parents have their own thing going on. Oh well, all i can do is hope and wait. ;)
